GINCO: GRUNDTVIG INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF COURSE ORGANISERS
GINCO is a Grundtvig International Network of Course Organisers,
funded with support of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the
European Commission, run by an international consortium of
21 partners from 14 different countries. GINCO aims to create a
European wide network of adult education organisations actually running
Grundtvig courses or willing to do so in the future. The aim of the
network is to share expertise, to collect, create and share useful material
and to enhance communication and cooperation in order to improve
Higher Education European Funding Services (HEEFS) is the UK HE Sector’s shared service providing information, advice and support to HEIs wishing to obtain EU funds to support transnational collaboration.You can find information about them and the services they offer on our website www.heefs.ac.uk. They produce a monthly Bulletin, providing information on the latest calls for proposals issued by the EU, the January 2011 edition is available to download from HEEFS Bulletin 25 January 2011.
The Adam Smith Research Foundation is inviting applications for a VISITING RESEARCH FELLOW scheme. Candidates should show how their research will fit with one or more of the College's research themes. In addition to pursuing their own research project, Fellows will be expected to engage with academics and postgraduate researchers in the University to promote multidisciplinary approaches to their research area through seminars, workshops and lectures. Innovative methodological contributions will be particularly welcome.

The Eurolocal partners got their first opportunity to present details of the work to those outwith the project at the recent 9th PASCAL International Observatory conference in Gaborone, Botswana. At a poster session Lynette Jordan the PI for the EACEA/EC funded project explained to interested parties about the website and its potential as a storehouse for data and materials about learning regions and cities.
The EUROlocal project team are pleased to announce the first release of the EUROlocal website. This article is posted in the News section, which is essentially a diary of announcements, projects details and related information. Any authorised Contributor can post items to this section. As the News section builds over time, categories of News postings will be added to organise the section into manageable chunks.
