EUROlocal è la banca dati europea sulla dimensione locale e regionale della formazione permanente
Nel corso del 2011 questo sito ha avviato la pubblicazione di una grande quantità di informazioni on line
EUROlocal rafforza la politica comunitaria sulle learning region per l'apprendimento permanente attraverso la raccolta di strumenti, strategie, materiali didattici, report e tutto quello che riguarda il loro sviluppo.
L'essenza del progetto EUROlocal è la collaborazione e l’interazione. I partner continuano a dare un contributo significativo allo sviluppo del concetto e delle esperienze sulle learning region.
EUROlocal rappresenta una risorsa facilmente accessibile per le iniziative locali ai fini dell'esperienza e conoscenza collettiva derivanti da questo forte impegno paneuropeo.
Oltre a collegare le attività in essere dei principali stakeholders nelle learning region, EUROlocal costantemente ricerca input e feedback da parte di nuovi e potenziali operatori attraverso la sua indagine dinamica delle Regioni Learning. Presentations of the EUROlocal Conference
The final conference of the EUROlocal project was held on 26-28 October and was opened in the city of Murten, Switzerland, by the mayor of the city, Christian Brechbühl. There followed a series of excellent presentations and workshop events for some 50+ participants from 15 countries in Europe.

Smart Regions - building social capital in the e-business
The Smart-Regions Website is a showcase of over forty remarkable achievements in the domain of e-Services, e-Learning and e-Government that were realised in European regions in 2002-2007, called “Smart Regions”. It includes several documents about projects and initiatives for building social capital, regional innovation as in the field of education and research. Eleven of them are taking place in Belgium, eight refer to the Netherlands.
All the governments, research institutions or voluntary organisations depicted on this website have one shared goal: to make their region better, stronger and smarter. And the secret to regional development is actually very simple: co-operation. The Smart Regions share infrastructure, exchange methodologies, copy succesfull achievements, have built strong stakeholder structures and managed to involve other sectors of society.
The University Network of the European Capitals of Culture

The general aims of UNeECC are:
- to ensure the recognition of the role and contribution of universities to the success of the cities conferred the title "European Capital of Culture"
- to provide the member universities with a possibility of a continuous and full participation in the European Capitals of Culture movement enhanced by "Universities of the Year"
- to foster inter-university cooperation to develop and reshape the universities regional position to create new activities for city and university collaboration
